Sorry about posting so late, guys. Yesterday was just a bit hectic, what with Little One's birthday coming up tomorrow and all. Today's kind of been that way too. My dad and I went to the store to get the wrapping paper for her gifts, as well as to the bank to cash her birthday check from one of our older sibs.
Then, I drove the kids to the park to play... they had a lot of fun, and got 2 hours of good exercise. Later tonight I think I'm taking Sister to the mall. She's been wanting to go, so I think now's a good time. I haven't been there in awhile too- it'll be fun to do some shopping.
It is so hot and muggy here- summer weather can be very depressing, lol. On a brighter note, I think Friend will be coming over sometime in the next week- and when he does it will be a good thing. There's a plate of salad waiting in the fridge with his name on it.
I never let things go.
So parents just came home and we went to unload the car- me, Brother, and Sister. Little One lounged on the couch in the living room chanting as each person came in...
"I don't have to unload groceries- I, am, the, birthday, girl." I swear- just like that, with pauses inbetween each word. You gotta love little kids, don't you?
But to balance the sour with the sweet- allow me to share with you all an endearing little annecdote from earlier.
Little One and I are playing the 'I Love You' game. Now, the idea of that game is to top one another on how much you love the person... for example, I say "I love you this much" *holds hands 3 feet apart*. To top me, you might say, "Well, I love you
this much" *spreads arms as wide as they'll go*.
And the game would go on like this... until someone couldn't top the last person, or until the commercial break is over- whatever happens first.
Anyway, Little One and I are playing the game. I tell her "Little One, I love you times 2." She smiles her syrupy little smile and says "Big One, I love you times 4."
"Yes, that may be true, Little One- but I love you times 100."
"Well I love you times infinity!!" Did she really just top my number? Oooh, the challenge is on, now!
"I love you times infinity squared!" At this point, it looks like I'll win the game... I smile my triumphant smile, laugh my obnoxious laugh... wait for her to give it a shot... she looks pensive- oooh, the game is so over. At least, it is until I hear her say:
"I love you times infinity circle, triangle,
and rectangle!"
